This is a composition which belongs to Mysore palace tradition.
It describes the beauty of Goddess Saraswathi who is believed to be the Goddess of stage. It is in Arabhi Raagam.2. Poorvarangavidhi (8 minutes):
This is an invocatory piece which again belongs to the Mysore palace tradition. It is mostly made up of Nrtta (abstract dance) ending with Sahityam on
Lord ganesha and the then ruler of Mysore kingdom.
Both these items were learnt by my Guru B. Bhanumati from Padma Bhushan K.Venkatalakshamma. It is in Hamsadhwani Raagam and Adi Taalam.3. “Arukkum Adangaada Neeli…”(15 minutes)
This is a composition in Tamil by Harikesanallur Muthiah Bhagavatar. The lyrics describe Devi’s(Goddess) supremacy and unboundedness.
The choreography ends with a Sanchari on Rakthabeejasura Samhara elaborating the story with appropriate sequences . In Abhogi Raagam and Adi taalam.4. “Cinnam ShirukkiLiye Kannamma…”(8 minutes)
A popular composition by Mahakavi Bharathiyar. The lyrics brings about a mother’s love for her daughter and how precious her daughter is for her.
This is a pure abhinaya piece. In Raagamaalika and Tishra gati Adi Taalam.5. Thillana (6 minutes)
In Raagam Valachi and Adi Talam, the Sahityam is on Goddess.
